Flotilla 71 - LONGVIEW, 13th USCG District , Longview/Kelso, WA.

Welcome to Flotilla 71 Longview, which is located in Longview WA.  Since its founding under Congressional act in 1939, the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary has established a proud tradition of supporting the Coast Guard . Auxiliarists receive special training and become vital members of “Team Coast Guard”, serving the public and the nation.  Qualified Coast Guard Auxiliary members teach basic boating safety, navigation (basic and advanced) and many other boating related specialty courses. Using their own specially equipped vessels, Auxiliarists are actively involved in marine safety patrols, search and rescue and environmental protection surveys. The Auxiliary actively seeks out qualified young people for sponsorship and possible acceptance by the Coast Guard Academy. Coast Guard Auxiliarists offer Vessel Safety Checks to boaters, at no charge, to determine that their boats are in compliance with State and Federal safe boating regulations. Many are qualified to stand radio watch at Coast Guard Stations or on Coast Guard Vessels. If you are interested in joining this unique volunteer organization, please contact one of the officers or attend one of our monthly meetings. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Rizad Complex in Kelso WA , which is at 1800 Western Lane, Kelso, WA.
