Boating Skills & Seamanship course for power boaters, including PWC operation
BS&S provides basic information
about power boating in 7 sessions. Learn which boat is
for you, equipment for your boat, trailering your boat,
handling your boat, your " highway signs", the
rules you must follow, piloting your boat, lines and
knots, weather, marine engines, marine radio procedures
and much more. The course qualifies as a Safe Boating
course in the State of Oregon/Washington.
Starts March 10, 2009 , Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7-9:00
p.m.
at ROOM 101 (Science Building) - Lower Columbia College , Longview.
Cost
is none for registration and the textbook with student study
guide is
$40 (No Tools Required) due on the first night of class.
Course difficulty level is Basic and some homework is required
Family members may share a text.
Certificate awarded upon Passing Test
Knowledge test for Oregon State Law upon request
This course meets Oregon State Requirement for Boaters
classes.
